Jubilee Aftercare assists those who have been in prison, homeless, and/or struggle with addiction as they transition back into society.
Jubilee Aftercare is a Christian program seeking to go beyond the surface and address the deeper needs of men caught in a cycle of addiction, incarceration or homelessness. Our program offers an environment and structure that provides opportunities for men to have their hearts and lives transformed though a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Aftercare students attend faith-based and life skills classes. Students work at our Jubilee thrift store for a minimum of 500 hours (job training). Upon completion of 500 work hours, being in phase 4, and upon recommendation of the Aftercare Staff, students will then seek full-time work outside Jubilee Ministries.
Progression through the Aftercare Program in not time based, but rather based upon the accomplishment of goals specifically designed to meet the needs of each individual. The program begins with an orientation period during which each student gets settled in, develops goals, attends classes and begins job training. Students are on “blackout” during orientation. Subsequently, there is no contact with family or friends during this time. Once orientation goals are met, the student moves through program phases that are less restrictive with increasing individual responsibility. Goals specific to each phase must be completed to move to the next phase in the program. Completion of all set goals is required for graduation. Graduates may extend their time with Jubilee on a case-by-case basis.
Although our program is Christ-centered, men of any faith background are welcome to apply. Applicants must be physically able and willing to work. There is no entrance fee; however students pay a weekly program fee once employed.
We also have summer camp scholarships available for the children of aftercare students (learn more)
